Greenpeace Leader Admits Arctic Ice Exaggeration

Gerd Leipold, the outgoing leader of Greenpeace, admitted that his organization’s recent claim that the Arctic Ice will disappear by 2030 was “a mistake.” Greenpeace said in a July 15 press release that there will be an ice-free Arctic by 2030 because of global warming. @seriago No, you’re correct. The world leaders, many of them at least, know better. It’s all on purpose. They knew this AGW was a lie from the beginning. They had to hide the decline. AGW is a means of control and power. Tax us to death, take away our cars, our means of keeping warm during the winter. It’s all about taking us back to the Middle Ages where there is the super rich (the Al Gores) and the super poor (Us ordinary folk)

That to me is baffling and makes no sense… I think most of the world population buys into them endorsing all this crap and many assume they know better. Of course I could be totally wrong, certainly I need to entertain that possibility, but common sense and logic is so strong when i look at both sides, that to buy into his take is insane. Oh well… LOL!

I want to thank Al for waking me up I had bought into all the AGW BS until he did his movie “Convenient with the truth” I thought to my self hmm hes a politician I had better do some fact checking. It took oh about 20 mins to figure out it was all lies.

I’m starting to wonder just how much Gore and or greenpeace is behind all those doom and gloom Hollywood films. Either they are or at least they use the same hysteria. Greenpeace had a great and noble agenda at first and some times but they’ve crossed the line way, way to many times imo.

@seriago If you do the heat calculations to bring ice that 40 below up to melting point the earth would have to tilt on its axis before Greenland would melt.
According to the NASA GRACE satellite survey of Antarctica in the last year it shrank by 180 cubic kilometers, sounds dramatic doesn’t it.
Antarctica has a volume of 30 million cubic kilometers, to put it in perspective it shrank by 0.006% at the present rate it will take 166,000 years to melt. Not 100 Years.

If you check the original “press release” – a web post – it’s absolutely clear that greenpeace is talking about summer sea ice – not the greenland ice.

Listen to the experts, watch the news, remember what you’ve learned in geography, feel and look around you damn’it. The earth changes, just like it has been doing since the beginning. We can’t stop or save it, but human kind don’t necessarily have to speed it up, and making it worse.. That’s what Greenpeace are trying to cut out for us. Grow up man.

F greenpeace! all they are just bunch of communist dressed in green. They would like to see a tax being put on carbon trade, and many other irrational actions. the only effect it would have is to slow down developement not only in the third world countries, but mainly in USA and Europe.
